Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry / Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing data efficiently, and supporting daily accounting functions. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and committed to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter financial and accounting data into company software and databases.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Record invoices, deposits, payments, and journal entries.
- Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Review data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
- Assist with month-end bookkeeping and financial reporting.
- Maintain vendor and customer files.
- Organize and manage digital and paper filing systems.
- Support the accounting team with administrative tasks and special projects.
- Handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.
- Perform general office duties including filing, scanning, and document management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One to three years of bookkeeping, accounting, or data entry experience preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks is a strong plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administration.
- Familiarity with general accounting principles.
- Experience working with accounting software and financial reporting tools.
